Getting ready to plant the strawberries! We are laying the plastic, which has to be replaced each season.
The strawberries are planted in October of every year; the plants are a cold weather plant. The entire planting process takes five people, four people plant each plug by hand and then there is a tractor driver. The equipment that aids in the planting process consist of a large tank filled with water and a large wheel that punches holes in the plastic. As the holes are being formed, the tank releases water, which makes planting the plugs eaiser.
